The European regional workshop on Article 6 of the Convention was held in Stockholm, Sweden, from 18 to 20 May 2009. Participants shared experiences and good practices in developing and implementing national education and outreach programmes and activities, and discussed options and strategies for strengthening and expanding these activities, in particular to support the implementation of a new climate change agreement that may be reached in Copenhagen in
December 2009. Participants recommended a list of issues that could be considered in promoting and supporting further the implementation of Article 6 and the New Delhi work programme in the European region
