You will be required to upload a letter of assignment which meets the following criteria:
- The letter must be on your organization’s official letterhead.
- It must be from your supervisor to the UN Climate Change Press Office.
- It must specify which meeting is to be covered and on what dates.
- It must provide links to your organization's website.
- It must state:
- That you are assigned to cover the event
- Your full name and position
- The type of coverage planned (news reporting, photo, video, documentary, etc.)
- It must be signed by your supervisor.
- It must contain contact information for your supervisor (email or phone number).
Please also include links to work which has been published in your name. Articles which are not bylined or are compiled from other sources will not be considered.

For Parties, the deadline for nomination of all categories of participants to mandated events has been extended to 31 July 2026, CET 23:59. The nomination procedures and applicable funding modalities for each mandated event are outlined in this official notification.
For admitted IGOs and UN organizations, the deadline for expression of interest for in-person and virtual participants to mandated and other events is extended until 31 July 2026, CET 23:59. The expression of interest procedures for each event are outlined in this official notification.
For admitted NGOs, the deadline for expression of interest for in-person and virtual participants to mandated and other events is extended until 31 July 2026, CET 23:59. NGO nominations are managed via the Constituency Focal Points (CFPs) and the nomination procedures for each event are outlined in this official notification.
