The GST-CO will focus on discussing the implications of the findings of the technical assessment with a view to achieving the outcome of the global stocktake of informing Parties in updating and enhancing, in a nationally determined manner, their actions and support, in accordance with relevant provisions of the Paris Agreement, as well as in enhancing international cooperation for climate action.
In the case of GST1, the GST-CO will take place at CMA 6 (2023) and will consist of high-level events where the findings of the GST-TA will be presented, and their implications discussed and considered by Parties. The events will be chaired by a high-level committee made up of the CMA Presidencies and the Chairs of the SBSTA and SBI.
