Invitation to submit posters

To submit your posters, please use the following form. 

Kindly also download the licensing agreement here and attach the signed agreement to the form. Only a separate link to the poster should be contained in the form, thus limiting the size of the submitted input. The full-sized poster can be shared via Dropbox, OneDrive, WeTransfer, etc.

Parties are also requested to provide the name and contact details of the proposed poster presenter and to indicate whether the presenter will participate in-person. To facilitate interactivity during the poster session, in-person presentation of posters is highly preferred. Parties whose presenter is unable to participate in-person may wish to include relevant contact information on their poster to enable interested participants to contact them directly after the event, in case of interest.

Kindly note this is the only channel to submit posters. Posters submitted via email cannot be accepted.  

Important Note: Please note that no additional funding will be provided by the secretariat for in-person participation in connection with the poster session. Parties proposing an in-person presenter are therefore invited to identify the presenter from within their existing delegation and available funding arrangements.

Submission guidelines

1. Who can submit?

• Parties through their National Focal Points (NFPs)
• The secretariat, at the request of the co-chairs, will also reach out to previous contributors to the global dialogue and investment-focused event to invite them to submit posters via their NFP, should they wish to do so.

2. Submissions format

• Submissions should be provided as poster or visual artwork in A2 format, with either vertical or horizontal orientation. The following formats are accepted for submission: (i) PDF, (ii) JPEG, and (iii) PNG
• The posters should be made in English and the presenters, should they be present on-site in person, should be able to communicate with participants in English.
• Posters should be submitted at a minimum resolution of:
  • Print: 4,961 x 7,016 pixels
  • Screen: 1,191 x 1,648 pixels

3. How the poster submissions will be evaluated

Submissions will be evaluated by the co-chairs of the Sharm el-Sheikh mitigation ambition and implementation work programme based on the following criteria.

• Adherence to the specified format requirements, i.e. size of poster, language, etc.

• Adherence to the submission guidelines, i.e. accompanied by the licencing agreement, etc.
• Originality, creativity, and innovative presentation of ideas
• Clarity and effectiveness of communicating intended messages
• Presents concrete initiatives, national or regional experiences, case studies or innovative solutions related to the topics of the eighth global dialogue and investment-focused event and the scope of the mitigation work programme
• Consistency with the scope of the work programme as set in para 4 of decision 4/CMA.4
• Poster presenters should strictly adhere to the code of conduct for UNFCCC events
• Should not be politically defamatory

Posters will be selected against the evaluation criteria outline above. Parties are encouraged to carefully consider the stipulated guidelines before making submissions.

In-person presenters should have been registered to attend the eighth global dialogue and investment-focused event. The presenters are also expected to be present during the full duration of the dialogue and the event.
