Los Angeles Launches First-Ever Sustainable City Plan

Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti released L.A.'s first-ever Sustainable City Plan, a comprehensive and actionable policy roadmap to prepare Los Angeles for an environmentally healthy, economically prosperous, equitable future in the context of an expected population growth of 500,000 people over the next 20 years. The plan sets targets and details actions in 14 categories  to improve city's environment, economy and equity. The plans sets a 80% cut in greenhouse gas emissions below 1990 baseline by 2050.
