Background
A workshop was held in Tehran, Iran, on 18 and 19 October 2003, on the needs and options of non-Annex I Parties for economic diversification, and on support programmes by Annex II Parties to address these needs. Discussions focused on the link between economic diversification and sustainable development, and on specific topics relating to the adverse effects of climate change and the impact of the implementation of response measures.
