As part of the Youth4Capacity programme and recognizing the wealth of tools that seek to build the capacities of young people, the Tools4Youth Marketplace returned at COP29 to bring together leading organizations with these impactful tools under one roof to make them more accessible to the youth. By creating a vibrant space for interaction and exploration, the event sought to empower young people with the resources they require to catalyze positive change in their communities. It is a dynamic space where information meets interaction, and inspiration meets action.
Objectives
Raise awareness about a variety of capacity-building tools available for young people spanning various topics around climate change.
Foster active engagement between youth and the developers of these tools, encouraging a two-way dialogue and meaningful collaboration.
Empower youth to utilize such tools and take concrete actions in their respective fields by providing them with the necessary tools and knowledge.

Key Outcomes from Panel Discussion
More open-access, youth-centric tools like the Youth Climate Toolbox are needed to share learnings beyond specific programs, keeping resources aligned with youth priorities, interests and needs
Tools can help to bridge gaps between topics, e.g. between climate and nature to foster a new understanding of nature's role in climate solutions
Young people need to feel heard, with tools and platforms designed to directly address their concerns and amplify their voices
Actionable guidance and relatable storytelling which engages with different communities' realities are needed to inspire individual and collective action
Finding a balance between high-level, technical information and more accessible formats, e.g. offering practical advice on political or consumer engagement (in fields such as sustainable food, textiles, plastics...)
