Background

The AI Innovation Grand Challenge Award Ceremony will celebrate innovative artificial intelligence solutions that contribute to climate resilience and mitigation in developing countries. This event will recognize and promote pioneering projects aimed at leveraging AI to address the urgent challenges posed by climate change, emphasizing solutions developed and led by teams from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and led by women. The Grand Challenge Award aligns with the thematic workstreams of the UNFCCC Technology Executive Committee’s rolling work plan for 2023-2027.
