Event description

The event will discuss how transparency is important from the perspective of the nine different constituencies, what is their current level of engagement on the matter and what future opportunities for action/engagement may exist under the Paris Agreement. Altogether, raising the profile of transparency, showcasing its cross-cutting nature and realizing the importance of climate data and information for the implementation of the Paris Agreement lead to benefits which go way beyond the submission of technical reports. For the global community, this is about relying on better and more consistent data to inform conversations on collective progress on mitigation, adaptation and means of implementation and support. Strengthening participation of all actors in the ETF will offer new opportunities for cooperation and engagement, and ultimately contribute to building trust and confidence around the process.
