Background

The Convergence focuses on driving climate action and capacity-building by integrating technology, culture, and collaborative approaches. We work to empower communities through innovative digital tools, enhancing their ability to engage in climate action and cultural preservation. Our activities include developing resources, conducting workshops, and fostering networks that bring together diverse stakeholders to co-create solutions. By mapping and leveraging technology ecosystems, we aim to unlock the full potential of climate initiatives, ensuring that our work supports sustainable, inclusive, and impactful climate action globally.

The Global Centre for Climate Mobility (GCCM) is a global partnership at the nexus of climate action and human mobility to enable positive adaptation journeys for people and communities at the frontline of the climate crisis. It is hosted at the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and advanced by champion countries, UN Agencies, the World Bank, and regional organizations with support from philanthropy, civil society organizations and research partners. 

Objectives

• Engage in climate mobility-focused dialogue with experts and youth

• Collaboratively map out solutions and resources

• Develop a toolkit that highlights fundamental knowledge about climate mobility
