Background

RCC Latin America is supporting the Government of Panama to strengthen its national capacity and strategic readiness for the effective implementation of carbon market instruments under the Collaborative Instruments for Ambitious Climate Action (CiACA) project. 

Being held in a hybrid format, the three-day event served as the official launch of a project that RCC Latin America is implementing for Panama to create a Roadmap for implementing carbon markets in Panama.

Objectives

• Launch the CiACA Project and the Roadmap for the Implementation of markets in Panama;
• Obtain feedback and input from relevant mapped stakeholders;
• Clarifying project objectives and understanding expectations;
• Outline current progress and next steps and deliverables; and
• Others identified by the Ministry of Environment (MiAMBIENTE), RCC Latin America or the consultant.
