Marrakech Partnership and High-Level Champions

Background

Our Implementation Lab, inspired by the BBC’s Moral Maze, will gather diverse thought
leaders presenting testimony on progress and challenges in financing and building inclusive
Early Warning and Risk Data Systems for Human Settlements. Two distinguished
discussants will assess the evidence and share if the glass is half full or empty, with a focus
on 2030 targets. The session concludes with a collaborative discussion, gathering input from
all participants to shape priorities moving forward.

Suggested Outcomes

• Identify Successes and Progress: Equip participants with a clear understanding of what’s working in financing climate action for 2030 solutions within human settlements in developing countries.
• Address Challenges and Barriers: Highlight specific challenges and barriers to effective action, along with strategies to overcome them.
• Encourage Collaborative Commitments: Secure practical commitments from participating organisations to collaborate on advancing points 1 and 2, fostering shared progress and impactful partnerships.
