Overview

The overall objective of this event is to raise awareness from Parties and other stakeholders for the need of nominating and supporting the work of an enlarged number of qualified review experts to conduct reviews under the ETF, including options to secure a more sustainable system to ensure regular participation of experts nominated by both developed and developing countries over time. The event will also generate ideas and practical actions aiming at increasing the number of experts available for the reviews as well as to attract potential experts to join the roster of experts.

The event also aims at highlighting the critical role of technical experts in the review process and the substantial added value of their work, and the return benefits for governments and employers in supporting their work. The event will also suggest opportunities for a streamlined approach intended to reduce the workload for technical experts in participating in reviews.
