Background 

With the globe demanding more ambitious mitigation actions by all countries, there is an urgency to plan for a just transition alongside the implementation of NDCs and LTS. Yet, there still exists gaps in the capacity of many countries for undertaking the just transition. The networking event will provide a space for networking between organizations that provide capacity-building support on just transition and stakeholders, with the objective that stakeholders understand the capacity needed to undertake just transition and how to enhance such capacity through the support from relevant organizations.

Objectives

• Highlighting the importance of impacts assessments in undertaking just transition. 
• Introducing the work of the KCI. 
• Enhancing collaboration through networking with organizations that provide capacity-building.
