Background 

Hosted by UNU-EHS and G20 Land Initiative, the movie night complements the day's participatory sessions by offering a space for storytelling and collective reflection. It highlights the power of narrative and creativity in envisioning alternative futures where climate action and human imagination work in tandem.

This movie night session features a selection of short films and documentaries that portray the human stories behind climate action, offering a reflective and inspiring end to the Capacities for the Future day. The session invites participants to explore the emotional, cultural, and scientific dimensions of climate resilience, our shared interconnected risks, protection of land resources, and community-led urban transformation.

  • Inspire emotional and cultural connection to climate action through visual storytelling.

  • Highlight community-led and systemic responses to climate challenges and urban transformation.
