Background 

While some progress has been made across individual components of the MOI, fragmentation often limits their collective impact. Financing mechanisms may not always align with local technological or institutional capacities, and technology solutions may remain underutilized without adequate human or institutional support. This session sought to address these gaps by facilitating a cross-pillar dialogue that highlighted regional experiences, success stories, and practical models for integrated implementation. Participants engaged in an interactive format, combining live pitching, expert insights, and collaborative exchange to co-develop strategies that enhance coordination between finance, technology, and capacity-building mechanisms for resilient climate action.

Objectives

• Deepen understanding of how climate finance, technology transfer, and capacity-building intersect and mutually reinforce each other under the UNFCCC framework.
• Demonstrate regional approaches that have successfully leveraged joint implementation of MOI to strengthen adaptation and resilience.
• Identify opportunities for cross-pillar collaboration, investment, and technical support to accelerate locally grounded climate action.
• Facilitate partnerships among  technical experts, policymakers, and regional stakeholders to advance integrated climate strategies.
