1.  Background

The purpose of this event is to strengthen the channel for dialogue and interaction between the SB Chairs and observer organizations, namely the 9 constituency focal points of  NGOs (ENGO, BINGO, Farmers, RINGO, IPO, LGMA, TUNGO, WGC, and YOUNGO) and the IGOs.

2.  Objective and description

The Chairs would like to invite observer organizations to participate in this meeting to exchange views and ideas in a forward-looking conversation on how to advance work in the UNFCCC process in the lead up to the next sessions of the subsidiary bodies and COP26 in 2021. After the opening remarks by the SB Chairs, the constituency focal points will then be given the floor to share their views and pose questions to the Chairs on topics of their interest. All observer organizations will be able to follow the proceedings via online broadcast.
