Climatekos gGmbH (Climatekos) is a technical support partner to assist with the development and later implementation of the SME CAB. Climatekos brings ample experience in the areas of SMEs and climate action and related support programme development and implementation to the table based on analytical work such as in-depth mappings of climate action capacity building gaps and needs to SME in different regions of the world. Furthermore, Climatekos is engaged in the development and implementation of low-carbon and climate resilient supply chains. Addressing capacity building needs of SMEs, requires a dedicated initiative, the SME CAB, that puts an emphasis on the private sector’s (here SMEs) crucial and accelerated share of the implementation of the UNFCCC and its Paris Agreement. The CAB shall create an empowering environment for action-oriented, targeted capacity building for SMEs for increased, active contributions to the implementation of NDCs, LEDS and NAPs at the national or local levels. This is bringing together the relevant partners and actors at the regional and national levels and by providing appropriate forums and platforms as well as support and knowledge dissemination mechanisms.
