Summary

UN Climate Change will organize a special online Award Ceremony to celebrate and recognize the 13 winners of the 2020 UN Global Climate Action Awards on the eve of the fifth anniversary of the adoption of the Paris Agreement. 

Patricia Espinosa, UN Climate Change Executive Secretary, will deliver a keynote address at this event, together with the participation of this year’s winning activities. Amina J. Mohammed, UN Deputy Secretary-General will deliver congratulatory remarks. The event will be moderated by Isa Soares, CNN International Anchor & Correspondent. The event is envisioned to last 90 minutes from 14:00 to 15:30 CET on Friday 11 December 2020.
