Abstract

The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its thirtysixth session, initiated its consideration of the work programme on the revision of the guidelines for the review of biennial reports and national communications, including national inventory reviews, for developed country Parties (hereinafter referred to as the review guidelines), with a view to completing this work by the nineteenth session of the Conference of the Parties. The SBSTA invited Parties to submit their views, by 15 September 2012, on the elements of the work programme and on the timeline of proposed activities, as well as on the key elements of the revision of the review guidelines for the review of biennial reports from developed country Parties and national communications, including national greenhouse gas inventories, from Parties included in Annex I to the Convention, and requested the secretariat to compile these submissions into a miscellaneous document. The secretariat has received five such submissions from Parties. In accordance with the procedure for miscellaneous documents, these submissions are attached and reproduced in the language in which they were received and without formal editing
