The ocean and climate change dialogue was mandated by the Conference of the Parties at its twenty-sixth session. The 2026 dialogue was held in hybrid mode on 10 and 11 June 2026, in conjunction with the sixty-fourth session of the subsidiary bodies in Bonn, Germany. This report provides a summary of the discussions that took place on three topics, chosen in consultation with Parties and observers, namely ocean-based priorities in nationally determined contributions; means of implementation; and ocean–climate–biodiversity synergies and international cooperation.

The report summarizes the deliberations and discussions and provides key messages for consideration by Parties and observers as they prepare for the Conference of the Parties at its thirty-first session.
