This report provides a summary of the workshop held from 3 to 4 October 2025 under the United Arab Emirates–Belém work programme on indicators for measuring progress achieved towards the targets referred to in paragraphs 9–10 of decision 2/CMA.5, at which the experts involved in the technical work under the work programme presented their final list of potential indicators. Representatives of Parties and observers reflected and shared views on the suitability, feasibility and consistency of the indicators, including on their global applicability and the availability of relevant data. Discussions also encompassed indicators for enabling factors, including means of implementation, and possible next steps.
