The first part of the seventh session of the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA) was held in Bangkok, Thailand, from Monday, 28 September to Friday, 9 October 2009. The resumed session will be held in Barcelona, Spain, from 2 to 6 November 2009. Thereafter, the AWG-LCA will meet to conclude its work at its eighth session, concurrently with the fifteenth session of the Conference of the Parties which will open in Copenhagen,
Denmark, on 7 December 2009. The secretariat has issued annotations to the provisional agenda for the seventh session.
The purpose of this note is to share with delegations the initial ideas of the Chair of the AWG-LCA on the objectives and organization of work of the resumed seventh session
