Report on the seminar on the development and transfer of technologies for adaptation to climate change. Note by the secretariat.
Abstract

In response to a request by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice, at its twentieth session, the secretariat, in cooperation with the Expert Group on Technology Transfer organized a seminar on the development and transfer of environmentally sound technologies for adaptation to climate change from 14–16 June 2005, in Tobago, Trinidad and Tobago. Participants at the workshop exchanged views and experiences on a range of activities relating to these technologies including concepts; needs for, and identification and evaluation of, technologies for adaptation; and lessons learned. Participants suggested areas where further work is needed, and specific activities on developing, transferring and applying these technologies that could be initiated within the UNFCCC process
