Technical review of information reported under the Convention by Parties included in Annex I to the Convention in their biennial reports and national communications. Report by the secretariat.
This report describes the activities relating to the preparations for the technical review of information to be reported under the Convention in the third biennial reports and seventh national communications of Parties included in Annex I to the Convention, which are due 1 January 2018. The activities include the fourth meeting of lead reviewers for the review of biennial reports and national communications and enhancement of training materials for review experts for the technical review of biennial reports and national communications. Reviews of the second biennial reports were completed in November 2016. Information on the composition of the expert review teams performing these reviews and on the selection of experts for the review teams and the lead reviewers is contained in document FCCC/SBSTA/2016/INF.8.
