The in-forum training workshop on the use of economic modelling tools related to the areas of the work programme of the improved forum on the impact of the implementation of response measures was held on 30 April and 1 May 2018 in Bonn, Germany. The workshop aimed to enhance the capacity of Parties, specifically developing country Parties, in using modelling tools to facilitate the assessment of the impact of the implementation of response measures in two areas: (1) economic diversification and transformation; and (2) just transition of the workforce and the creation of decent work and quality jobs. The workshop served as platform for experts from developing and developed countries and intergovernmental and international organizations to exchange information, experience, case studies, best practices and available opportunities related to the use of modelling tools. This report outlines the proceedings of the workshop, includes a summary of the discussions, and will inform the in-forum discussions of Parties at the forty-ninth sessions of the subsidiary bodies.
