The Latin America and the Caribbean regional workshop on the transfer of technology consultative process was organized by the secretariat with the kind assistance of the Government of El Salvador. The workshop was held in San Salvador, El Salvador, from 29 to 21 March 2000. This note presents a report on the workshop. The report takes into account information and ideas presented in the country papers, workshop presentations, and panel discussions, and the outcome of the three parallel woking groups.
