Dialogue on the Lima Gender Action Plan Implementation

The workshop provided an avenue to reflect on national efforts to enhance gender integration and domesticate international climate change decisions on gender transformation in national climate change action. It brought together National Gender and Climate Change Focal Points and other stakeholders to share experiences, case studies and research on the development and implementation of gender-responsive budgets, National Gender and Climate Change Action Plans, and gender -transformative climate change policies and action plans, including NDCs and NAPs.

  2. Discuss how they are integrating gender equality and power balance into climate change policies, strategies and programmes;
  3. Discuss best practices and strategies to enhance equal and meaningful participation of women in climate change processes at national and international level;
  4. Explore opportunities, including networking, to harness support and information available to enable women and men gender negotiators to adequately prepare for COP28.
