Update on the organization of work and Ministerial Consultations
Following an assessment of the status of progress of the work across all tracks, the President has set out a tailored approach to conclude all outstanding elements, recognizing that some need more discussion and others require focused political engagement to find an overall balanced and comprehensive way forward.
He has invited pairs of Ministers to lead consultations with Groups and Parties on his behalf on outstanding issues that will benefit from political guidance.

Update on the President’s Consultations
The opening plenaries of COP 29/CMP 19/CMA 6, on Monday, 11 November 2024, adopted their agendas and smoothly launched the work. In addition, they mandated the President to undertake consultations on a number of important issues and to report back to the plenaries on the results.
