Membership of the KCI
The Katowice Committee of Experts on the Impacts of the implementation of response measures (KCI) is composed of 14 members, with two members from each of the five United Nations regional groups, one member from the least developed countries (LDC), one member from the small island developing States (SIDS) and two members from relevant intergovernmental organizations (IGO).
Every two years, the KCI elect two members from among its members to serve as Co-Chairs, taking into account the need to ensure equitable geographical representation
Additionally, the KCI establishes working group and informal network of experts on gender for response measures to support the implementation of its workplan.For the implementation of its workplan for in 2025, the KCI agreed to establish open-ended activity groups, co-led by KCI members, to support the implementation of activities of the workplan with agreed outputs in 2025-2026.
