United Nations Climate Change relies on voluntary financial contributions by Parties for more than half of its budget to advance its mandates. Since its establishment, UN Climate Change has mainly been funded by Parties committed to tackling climate change and achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The section below highlights voluntary contributions made by select Parties to contribute to supplementary activities of the UNFCCC secretariat in recent years.

Germany has contributed as of 31 December 2022 respectively USD 5,822,654 to the Trust Fund for Supplementary Activities (TFSA) and USD 323,347 Trust Fund for Participation (TFP) in the UNFCCC Process.
