The five-year vision for the Global Climate Action Agenda (GCAA) was set at COP 30 and now is in an implementation stage to translate climate action commitments and targets into measurable results. The UNFCCC Non-state Actor Zone for Climate Action (NAZCA) portal showcases these commitments and provides credible progress tracking in a central transparency hub for public access. This event will feature opening remarks from the UNFCCC Global Climate Action team and COP 30 and COP 31 Presidencies (invited) providing reflections on the GCAA and the importance of tracking progress toward achieving targets and goals committed by non-Party stakeholders through the NAZCA portal.

The NAZCA portal is mandated by Parties to the UNFCCC, since COP 20, to showcase voluntary commitments by non-Party stakeholders and to track their progress of implementation. The second portion of this event will include a technical presentation of the current NAZCA portal and its redevelopment phases as it becomes better fit to track the implementation of the five-year vision of the GCAA. Additional elements of the NAZCA portal will also be featured including the Net-zero Recognition Framework pilot and data modules that link climate action information of non-Party stakeholders to the UNFCCC formal processes, such as Nationally Determined Contributions, National Adaptation Plans, the ETF, and the Global Stocktake.
