TEC Brief 13: Enhancing Implementation of the Results of Technology Needs Assessments

Understanding climate technology needs is a starting point for effective action on climate change as it can help
to determine how to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to adapt to the adverse impacts of climate change. To determine their climate technology priorities, countries undertake TNAs on the basis of their national sustainable development plans. The aim of TNAs is to build national capacity and facilitate analysis and prioritization of climate technologies to support implementation of the Paris Agreement and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
