Session 1: Understanding the impacts of the implementation of response measures

This session aims to create awareness about impacts of implementation of response measures. It will provide an introduction to the topic and progress made till date under the Convention and its related instruments, including outcomes of negotiations at COP 24. It is expected that participants will be more informed about response measures negotiations, the ongoing work of the forum, its importance and relevance to LAC region.

This session will elaborate on the current work programme areas of the forum on impact of implementation of response measures (i.e. the economic diversification and transformation and just transition of work force and quality jobs) and understanding of role of “methodologies and tools” for assessment and analysis of impacts of response measures.

This session will showcase key modules of ILO led training programs with a view to raising awareness about the programmes and to create opportunity for enhancing the capacities of Parties

Session 9: Break-out Group work on key sectors for LAC and potential impact from response measures and follow up actions

This session will be held in break out groups for participants to further discuss on the key sectors identified and the potential impacts from response measures on those sectors, stakeholder engagement in assessing the impacts of response measures. Also, further work to be carried out on these topics by the improved forum on response measures including collaboration opportunities on the actions.
