The COP 20/CMP 10 President Mr. Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, COP 21/CMP 11 President-Designate Mr. Laurent Fabius, and Executive Secretary Ms. Christiana Figueres met to discuss preparations for the year in the lead up to and for the Paris Conference. They also met with the ADP Co-Chairs Mr. Ahmed Djoghlaf and Mr. Dan Reifsynder to be briefed on the current status of the negotiations.

At the Bureau meeting of 9 February, the COP 20/CMP 10 President noted the good outcomes from the Lima Conference and encouraged Parties to work in an innovative way to reach an agreement at the Paris Conference. The COP 20/CMP 10 President and the incoming COP 21/CMP 11 President will work jointly to create a basis of foundation for the agreement. The incoming COP 21/CMP 11 Presidency also provided their views on the political and organizational aspects preparing for COP 21/CMP 11 in Paris later this year.
