Bangkok Climate Change Conference - April 2011

The sixteenth session of the AWG-KP (AWG-KP 16) and the fourteenth session of the AWG-LCA (AWG-LCA 14), as well as workshops pursuant to the Cancun Agreements, took place from Sunday, 3 April through Friday, 8 April at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), in Bangkok, Thailand.

These meetings and workshops were preceded by preparatory regional group meetings from 30 March to 2 April.

Pre-sessional workshops

Pre-sessional workshops open to all Parties and accredited organizations took place from 3 to 5 April 2011 at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), in Bangkok, Thailand.

  • A workshop on assumptions and conditions related to the attainment of quantified economy-wide emission reduction targets by developed country Parties, as requested by decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 38 was held on 3 April 2011.
