Event description  

The High-Level Event is one of the three main events in the Together4Transparency series, alongside the Opening and Closing ceremonies. The event aims to engage various high-level participants to attract the greatest visibility and spread awareness of the centrality of transparency to effective implementation of the Paris Agreement. 

Speakers will be encouraged to interact with each other while responding to two guiding questions, with the objective of showcasing a wide range of perspectives on and benefits associated with transparency, from government and international organization, to private sector and non-state actors.

The two guiding questions are:

1. How do you (your country/organization) define “transparency” (in 10 words or fewer)?
2. In your view, what is the most important benefit that climate transparency brings to the broader community (local, national, international)?
