Mats is Head of Sustainability at Ericsson integrating sustainability in business offering with the responsibility for circular economy, energy performance and triple bottom line impact of products, services and company operations. During Mats leadership the company has set targets that are accepted to be in line with the Science Based Target initiative.

Mats has initiated and participated in various research projects e.g. as a member of the steering group for the Exponential Climate Action Roadmap report as well as ICT & SDGs Report with Columbia University on how information technology has the potential to accelerate development to reach needed halving of global carbon footprint as well as the Sustainable Development Goals.
