Weather Phenomenal

Every day, we are fully immersed in the weather systems that surround us. Over sustained periods of time it is these same weather systems that lead, ultimately, to broader changes in our climate. Climate change, therefore, is just our everyday weather experiences colliding with a broader, global reality.

These contributions to the UN Climate Change conference in Bonn (COP23) by Alexandra Klobouk (images and texts) and Stephan Andreae (idea and texts) portray small dramas and anecdotes about what weather means to us and what it makes us do. Each vignette will appear daily throughout the course of COP23, from 6-17 November, via the UN Climate Change website. Just as the rain that falls is palpably real, so too are these stories – but told with imagination and humour – without which we would not be able to save our climate. Enjoy!
