Introduction and overview  
The Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI) at its twenty-seventh session, requested its Chair to convene an informal pre-sessional meeting, in conjunction with its twenty-eighth session with representatives of interested Parties, to consider further actions, including under the following areas:

With regard to the adverse effects of climate change:

1. 1.Financial resources

2. 2.Vulnerability and adaptation assessments

3. 3.Adaptation planning and implementation

4. 4.Risk management and risk reduction

5. 5.Regional collaboration and cross-cutting issues

6. 6.Capacity-building, education, training and public awareness

7. 7.Data, systematic observation and monitoring

With regard to the impact of the implementation of response measures:

1. 1.Financial risk management

2. 2.Modeling

3. 3.Economic diversification

During their considerations Parties are expected to take into account the outcomes of the regional workshops and the expert meeting on the adverse effects of climate change; the pre-sessional expert meetings on the impact of the implementation of response measures and possible elements for further action, including those listed in annex III to document FCCC/SBI/2007/15.

The meeting will take place at the UN Campus in Bonn (Langer Eugen, Hermann-Ehlers-Strasse 10, 53113 Bonn).

Registration will take place from 8:30 to 10:00am. The meeting will start promptly at 10:00am.
