Abstract
This report presents an updated synthesis of information and views on the areas of focus set out in the terms of reference for the review and assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of Article 4, paragraphs 1(c) and 5, of the Convention specified in 11 submissions received from Parties and three submissions from accredited non-governmental organizations by 19 February 2009, as well as in one additional submission received from a Party on 22 February 2010
