Update on the third Consultations with the Chairs and Coordinators of Regional Groups and Constituencies held on Friday, 13 June 2014, from1:15 - 2 p.m.

The third consultations on elections, chaired by Mr. Cheikh Ndiaye Sylla,Vice-President of the COP/CMP, with the Chairs and Coordinators of regional groups and constituencies were held on Friday, 13 June 2014, from 13:15 - 14:00 hours.

The Eastern European Group has submitted the nomination of Ms. Jurga Rabazauskaite-Survile from Lithuania for the position of Vice-Chair of SBSTA. The Chair urged Groups to reach an agreement regarding the pending nomination for the position of SBSTA Vice-Chair and reminded them of today's deadline of 8 p.m. for the submission of this nomination.

The secretariat will try to organize further informal consultations on election during the ADP meeting, to be held in October 2014.

Update on the second Consultations with the Chairs and Coordinators of Regional Groups and Constituencies held on Wednesday, 11 June 2014, from 1:15 - 2 p.m.

The second consultations on elections, chaired by Mr. Cheikh Ndiaye Sylla,Vice-President of the COP/CMP, with the Chairs and Coordinators of regional groups and constituencies were held on Wednesday, 11 June 2014, from 13:15 - 14:00 hours.

Groups and constituencies informed the Chair that they were still consulting regarding the pending and new nominations. Mr. Cheikh Ndiaye Sylla encouraged Chairs and Coordinators to continue their consultations within their groups and constituencies to reach agreement on the nominations, in particular the nominations for the positions of SBSTA Vice-Chair and Rapporteur.

The next consultations are scheduled for Friday, 13 June 2014.

The consultations on elections, chaired by Mr. Cheikh Ndiaye Sylla,Vice-President of the COP/CMP, with the Chairs and Coordinators of regional groups and constituencies were held on Sunday, 8 June 2014, from 13:15 - 14:00 hours. Mr. Cheikh Ndiaye Sylla, informed the Chairs and Coordinators of the nominations expected for election at the current sessions of the subsidiary bodies, namely the officers of SBSTA.

The deadline for submission of these nominations is Friday, 13 June at 8 p.m. Mr. Cheikh Ndiaye Sylla also informed the Chairs and Coordinators of the nominations expected for the elections in Lima.Chairs and Coordinators informed that they are consulting with their respective groups and constituencies on these nominations.

The next consultations are scheduled for Wednesday, 11 June 2014.
