Roster of Experts

Due to critical technology and security upgrade, the UNFCCC roster of experts (RoE) is currently offline and is under maintenance. The Secretariat is actively working to minimize the disruption time and expects to deliver an improved UNFCCC RoE by the second half of 2026. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. The Secretariat will provide further periodic updates on the status of this service disruption.

Important notice:

> New experts who are not registered in the ROE, please wait until the roster is back operational.

> Experts who are already approved in the ROE, in case of any critical updates (e.g. change in email address), please contact: roster@unfccc.int.

> National focal points and roster custodians, please contact: roster@unfccc.int for any pending approval.

The UNFCCC Roster of Experts contains information on experts, who are nominated by their respective Governments through the National Focal Points of the Parties under the UNFCCC and by Intergovernmental Organizations through their Designated contact Point (DCP), to contribute to a number of processes mandated by the COP, CMP, CMA and the subsidiary bodies. These processes, among others, include reviews of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, national communications, biennial reports, technical analyses of BURs, reviews of article 6.2 reports and the reviews of biennial transparency reports (BTR) submitted by Parties to the Paris Agreement.

In addition, nominated experts to the UNFCCC Roster of Experts contribute to the technical assessment sessions of proposed forest reference emission levels and/or forest reference levels for the implementation of the activities referred to in decision 1/CP.16, paragraph 70 (REDD-plus), submitted on a voluntary basis by developing country Parties.
