EGTT working session

Background

The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), at its twenty-third session, requested the secretariat to organize a special working session in early 2006 to enable the group to further elaborate its recommendations for enhancing the implementation of the framework for meaningful and effective actions (technology transfer framework) to enhance the implementation of Article 4, paragraph 5, of the Convention.

Objectives and scope

The main objective of the working session is to continue to elaborate on recommendations for the above-mentioned framework. These recommendations should be based on the terms of reference agreed by the SBSTA at its twenty-second session. The Conference of the Parties, by its decision 6/CP.10, requested the EGTT to make these recommendations available prior to the twenty-fourth session of the SBSTA.
