Long-term climate finance events in 2015

A two-part in-session workshop on long-term climate finance was scheduled on 4 and 5 June 2015, in conjunction with the UNFCCC Climate Change Conference to be held in Bonn, Germany. This in-session workshop was organized following on COP decision 5/CP.20 to continue deliberations on long-term finance, focusing in 2015 and 2016 on the issues of: adaptation finance; cooperation on enhanced enabling environments and support for readiness activities; and needs for support to developing countries. A summary report of this workshop was considered by the COP 21 in Paris.

UNFCCC Webinar: Views on the design of the in-session workshop on long-term climate finance in 2015 Wednesday, 29 April 2015:

First run: 09:00 - 10:00 CEST (Germany Time); Second run: 15:00 - 16:00 CEST (Germany Time)

In accordance with decision 5/CP.20, paragraph 12, the in-session workshop on long-term climate finance was held on 4 and 5 June 2015 during the sessions of the Subsidiary Bodies under the Convention. Pursuant to the same decision, the workshop in 2015 focused on the issues of adaptation finance, needs for support to developing country Parties and cooperation on enhanced enabling environments and support for readiness activities. Following the workshop, a summary report was prepared for consideration by the Conference of the Parties at its 21st session.

This webinar provided the opportunity to Parties and observers to exchange their views and inputs on the organization of the in-session workshop, including on the scope of the thematic discussions as per decision 5/CP.20.
