Background

The Least Developed Countries Expert Group (LEG) organizes side events during the SB sessions to discuss the experiences and progress made by the least developed countries (LDCs) in addressing adaptation, and the support provided by the group to the LDCs on adaptation.

At this session’s side event, the LEG will provide an update on activities to accelerate the formulation and implementation of NAPs in the LDCs. It will also present the results of the meeting of Party experts to assess progress on NAPs and solicit feedback on the technical guidelines for the formulation and implementation of NAPs. Representatives of the AF, GCF, GEF and relevant organizations will be invited to provide highlights on planned activities to support the LDCs to submit their NAPs by 2025 and to implement the adaptation priorities identified in their NAPs.
