Capacity-building in the negotiations

The 50th session of the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 50) will consider capacity-building under Item 13 of its agenda:

13(a). Matters relating to capacity-building under the Convention, including enhancing institutional arrangements and the review of the Paris Committee on Capacity-building;

13(b). Matters relating to capacity-building under the Kyoto Protocol.

Durban Forum on Capacity-building

The Durban Forum was established in 2011 to further enhance the monitoring and review of the effectiveness of capacity-building under the Convention.  It serves as an annual, in-session discussion platform for Parties, representatives of the constituted bodies under the Convention and its Kyoto Protocol, and relevant experts and practitioners. This year's theme is:
“Strengthening institutions at the national level to support capacity-building activities for the implementation of NDCs in developing countries”

Building Capacity for Integrating Human Rights into Climate Action

NDC Partnership Knowledge Portal as capacity building tool for climate action
The NDC Partnership’s Knowledge Portal provides free online access to data, tools, guidance, case studies, and funding opportunities for climate action. This interactive tutorial will teach participants what they can find on the portal, how to navigate, and why it will support their NDC implementation. Users experience will be shared.
