GHG Help Desk

The GHG Help Desk is a collaboration platform made available by the UNFCCC secretariat to all experts and stakeholders involved in the GHG inventory planning, preparation and management from developing countries to allow them to ask questions and raise issues about their national GHG inventory development, especially regarding the use of the 2006 IPCC Guidelines for National GHG Inventories, the reporting requirements for the Measurement, Reporting, Verification and the implementation of the Enhanced Transparency Framework under the Paris Agreement in order to receive in-depth technical advice to resolve them. Our aim is to provide you with the best possible technical answers as quickly as possible.

The discussion forum offers an interactive space for GHG practitioners to discuss key technical issues related to the development and reporting of their national GHG inventories using the 2006 IPCC Guidelines. Participants can engage in discussion to share their experiences and challenges covering key topics, including their national GHG inventory management system (GHG IMS); Modalities, Procedures and Guidelines for the transparency framework for action and support referred to in Article 13 of the Paris Agreement (MPGs) ; cross-cutting issues; Energy sector; Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU) sector; Agriculture, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFOLU) sector; Waste sector; and others.
