Work of the L&D Excom in 2014

By decision 2/CP.19 the Executive Committee was entrusted with the task to develop its initial two-year workplan for the implementation of the functions of the Warsaw International Mechanism for Loss and Damage, for consideration at the 41st sessions of the subsidiary bodies (December 2014).

In accordance with the mandate, the Executive Secretary, in consultation with the President of the Conference of the Parties, convened the initial meeting of the Executive Committee, which took place from 25 to 28 March 2014 in Bonn, Germany.

The interim members of the Executive Committee held an information event during SB40 in Bonn, Germany, to share information on the process to fulfil its mandate, and to call for inputs for the Excom's draft workplan. For the inputs received in response to the call, please click here.

The resumed initial meeting of the Executive Committee took place from 17 to 18 September 2014 in Bonn, Germany. In consultation with observers, the Executive Committee unanimouly agreed on the initial two-year workplan of the Executive Committee.
