BACKGROUND

This consultation will present the updated technical guidelines for NAP formulation and implementation to the Parties. The updated guidelines reflect considerations of the GGA, IPCC AR6 Working Group II findings, and the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement reporting mechanisms. The sessions will showcase the latest guidance for NAPs featured in the updated technical guidelines, including the NAP table of contents, achieving the GGA targets through NAPs, scaled-up implementation and financing, and effective implementation and resource mobilization.
